After graduating with my MD, I thought I had the roadmap figured out: intern year, ophthalmology residency, retina fellowship, board certification, great job. Check all the boxes. Keep going.
On paper, I was thriving. But in real life? I was exhausted.
I was taking on more surgical cases, seeing more patients, and growing my practice while quietly feeling worse. Frequent headaches. Neck pain. Weight gain. Low energy. By the end of the day, I wasn’t truly present for my kids or my husband.
I felt like I was running on empty… and slowly losing myself in the process.
That breaking point became a turning point.
I began a personal health and wellness journey - not just for myself, but for my family and my patients. I wanted more than quick fixes or surface-level solutions. I wanted sustainable change.
That path led me to become double board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and trained as a certified health & wellness coach, learning how mindset, habits, and daily systems directly shape our physical and mental health. And everything changed.
Over the last few years, I’ve gone from surviving to truly thriving - with more energy, clarity, confidence, and joy in both my career and my personal life.
